In 1996 we bought Ginger Hero Van Tjolotjo. She was the sweetest, most friendly Rhodesian Ridgeback you can ever imagine. When she was almost a year we were in a contest for the most obedient dog of the year, and we made it to the semi finals ! For the first time we went to dog shows, and after all qualifications, and health certifcates were all good, we decided to breed with her and chose African Reds Eros as a father for this litter.

The first born puppy was Demba, and we decided to keep her.

Demba was our first Ridgeback we bred and turned out to be a great Ridgeback, with a temperament which is typical for a Ridgeback, intellegent, stubborn, great guard dog, and sweet to us and all animals living in our house.

We went to dog shows with Demba, and since she was a rather large female, we looked for a bit smaller male with a great character, and were so pleased we could choose Thokoza Azibo for her litter.

We never could have imagined how special these litters would be.

From this litters, N'Gai Zamu Of Ginba's Hero and Missie of Ginba's Hero were born.

N'Gai Zamu Of Ginba's Hero aka Dodge became multiple Champion, RRCN Clubmatch Winner 2007, BOS at Crufts 2006 and many, many more titles.

His sister Missie Of Ginba's Hero found her forever home with Ridgeback judge and breeder for many years Petra Stracke. Also Missie had great results at dog shows and mother of fantastic puppies at Petra Stracke's home, and mother, grandmother and great grandmother of our dogs today.

When Shumi was a couple of weeks old, she climbed the fench in her litter box, and in the morning I found her lying relaxed with her mum Demba and grandma Ginger. I said to her "If you want to stay so bad, you can stay with us. Together with mum Demba and grandma Demba, they were a great pack, and we enjoyed them every second of their lives.
